DN Finnish Nationals 2026

The Finnish DN Ice Sailing Championship was held this year in Hanko. The conditions promised a great weekend of racing, although the bright sunshine brought its own challenges as the wind forecast did not fully materialize. The regatta was sailed in light and at times very light winds.

Despite the tricky conditions, six races were completed. A slightly stronger breeze on the final day provided a fitting and enjoyable conclusion to the championship.

Teemu Rantanen (L137) won the regatta and secured the 2026 Finnish DN Ice Sailing Championship title, marking his fourth national championship victory. Darek Kardas (P13) finished second overall, while Gustav Lindén (S887) took third place.

In the Finnish Championship standings, the silver medal went to Oscar Lindell (L132) and the bronze medal to John Winqvist (L601).

Among the competitors was first-time DN regatta sailor Oskari “Okki” Muhonen, who finished an impressive 11th in his debut. Muhonen is a Finn class Junior and Senior World Champion.
