Kauden kolmas DN-ranking purjehditaan 9.-10.1. Kuopion Pursiseuran järjestämänä. Kallavesi ei tällä hetkellä ole purjehdittavassa kunnossa, mutta muualla Suomessa alkaa löytymään jo purjehdittavia jäitä, eli toivottavasti tällä kertaa pääsemme purjehtimaan. Esimerkiksi eilen tulleen tiedon mukaan Pyhäjärvi on purjehdittavassa kunnossa tällä hetkellä. Järjestelytoimikunta seuraa tilannetta ja tilannetta päivitetään liiton web sivuille. Lopullinen päätös tehdään kisaviikolla. Ilmoittautuminen perinteisesti Doodleen.

Third Finnish DN-ranking will be sailed 9th and 10th of January. Original planned location at lake Kallajärvi in Kuopio is not currently sailable, but there is other potential locations in Finland currently, so hopefully we can keep the event this time. For example lake Pyhäjärvi is currently sailable. The ice situation is checked and updated here. Final decision is made during the week of the event. Registrations to Doodle.

Kisat pidetään Espoon Haukilahdessa, landaus Melstenin rannalta. Kipparikokous klo 09:30 ja ensimmäinen lähtö 10:30. Tervetuloa!

Tulevana viikonloppuna purjehtidaan DN-rankingin toinen kilpailu. Sääolosuhteet ovat haastavat, eli jääraportteja kaivataan. Ilmoittautumiset doodleen.

Next Finnish DN-ranking event will take place next weeked. Weather conditions are challenging and we are looking for potential locations, ice reports are more than welcome. Registration to doodle.

There is no ice found that would make racing possible yet. Next update will be made before Friday 12:00.

Day 1: 6 races sailed in moderate breeze (6-8m/s).

Six races were sailed on Saturday in on average 6-8 m/s puffy wind. Conditions were wet and the ice was quite soft. Medium sails where the right choice for the tree first races (if not for all six races). Speed sails worked too, but where not as good downwind in between the puffs. Most runners worked OK, but best seemed to be 5 mm Inserts. Name of the game was not to have too sharp runners.

Day 2: 2 races sailed in strong breeze (10-12m/s)

On sunday we managed two races before the wind became dangerously strong and visibility poor. Ice was still wet and softish, but had dried out a bit during the night. Tricky sailing in hard winds and soft ice.

Tervetuloa DN-jääpurjehduksen Suomenmestaruuskilpailuihin. Kilpailujen järjestäjänä toimii DN-liitto. Kilpailut järjestetään 21-22.2.2015.

• Kilpailujen pitopaikka ilmoitetaan 19.2.2015 klo 18:00 mennessä (Säkylän Pyhäjärvi on pitopaikka, mikäli kelit sallivat)
• Jos kelit estävät purjehtimisen, voidaan ajankohtaa siirtää (Sunny Ranking toimii vara kilpailuna)
• Kipparikokous 21.2.2015 kello 10.00, järjestävät toivovat, että jäällä ollaan jo kello 09:00

Finnish Championships will be arranged at 21-22.2.2015.

• Venue site will be announced at latest on Thursday 19.2.2015 at 18:00 (we’ll prefer the Lake Pyhäjärvi in Säkylä if weather permits)
• In case of weather prevents us to organize the Finnish Championships the Sunny Ranking will be the backup venue
• Skippers meeting at 10:00 on the ice, organizers hope that participants will be at ice after 09:00 setting up
• First race signal will be given 21.2.2015 at 11:00
• Last start of the day will be given at least half an hour before sunset
• Registration fee is 20 EUR
