Week46 is approaching! However the weather forecast appears exceptionally warm for the coming days and weeks. The left overs of hurricane Melissa are expected to push warm air from the south. 

The organizing committee and the whole ice sailing community will keep on following the forecasts and progress very closely. In case we were forced to cancel the event due to lack of ice, it would be announced earliest Nov 9th. Please take this into account when doing the travel plans, booking tickets etc.

Thanks to note that we do not have reserve dates for week46 event. Instead of that our national ranking rule allows and encourage to arrange extra ranking regattas – 2 per season. Nov 29-30 might be a good candidate to be considered if we’d miss week46 event this time.

Let’s stay positive and think ice! We have – yet again – an awesome season ahead.  Itsenäisyys Regatta is scheduled already for Dec 6-7. NoR is published and registration open. Here is the whole DN Finland race calendar for season 25-26.

Week 46 event consists of 2 regattas: Johnny Köhler Cup and All Saint’s Regatta. Please find the notice of race and registration at manage2sail.

DN -liiton ja Nokian Panimon yhteistyö jatkuu. Purjehdimme edelleen Keisari -rankingsarjaa ja sarjan johtaja kantaa arvonimeä DN Keisari.

Kauden ensimmäinen Keisari Ranking -osakilpailu on All Saints Regatta 15.-16.11. Edeltävänä perjantaina 14.11. purjehditaan kauden avaava Johnny Köhler Cup joka ei ole osa rankingsarjaa. Kilpailukutsut on julkaistu ja ilmoittautuminen auki.

Jääpurjehduskausi avattiin pitämällä Suomen DN Jääpursiliitto ry:n vuosikokous. Kokouksessa mm. vahvistettiin tulevan kauden tapahtumakalenteri ja nimettiin liitolle hallitus.

What a weekend, sunshine, pure hard ice and the wind. In the best company, summer begins here. Sunny Ranking conditions, Good wind on Saturday and Light, pleasant wind on Sunday, full ten starts. Regatta winner L-112 Reko Suojanen, silver P-107 Marek Stefaniuk, bronze L-132 Oscar Lindell. Thank you to everyone who was there. See you all in week 46!

In Western Finland we have great ice, but due to strong winds we can’t get there.
The night frost is also gone.

However, we have received many options from Päijänne.
The wind is forecast to be 5m/s, gusting to 8m/s.

The location options we will review tomorrow are:
Tehinselkä, Kuhmoinen
Asikkalanselkä, Vääksy
Kajaanselkä, Vääksy
Padasjoki

A final decision will be made tomorrow.

Petri, L53, has composed a post report of the Europeans sailed during week9 in Pyhäjärvi, Säkylä. The event was a success. 121 participants from 16 countries. All scheduled 12 starts were conducted by the GOLD fleet.

It is official! European Championship regatta will be sailed at Pyhäjärvi, Säkylä. Our base is Kristalliranta. Registration and measurements on Saturday. First race on Sunday Feb23. Last possible race day is Saturday Mar1.

Ennätysmäärä suomalaisia mukana DN jääpurjehduksen
Euroopan Mestaruuskilpailuissa Suomessa!

20. vuoden tauon jälkeen Euroopan Mestaruus kilpailut purjehditaan Suomessa Säkylän Pyhäjärvellä, pääkallopaikkana Kristalliranta.

Kilpailuun ottaa osaa toista sataa jääpurjehtijaa noin 15 eri maasta, suomalaisia on ilmoittautunut 20 purjehtijaa. Kilpailut alkavat sunnuntaina avajaisilla klo 10.00 ja ensimmäinen kilpailulähtö klo 12.00.

DN Jääpurren nopeus nousee moottoritienopeuksiin, jääpurren purjehtivat 50 purren.

Suomen mestaruuskilpailut 2025 ovat ohi, tänään ei näkyväisyyttä joten ei lähtöjä.

Suomen mestaruus regatan ja Suomen mestaruuden voitti L-132 Oscar Lindell, regatan toinen oli S-844 Max Kozela ja kolmas L-133 Matti Nieminen.
