Welcome to Vikajärvi Memorial Icesailing week. During the week we’ll have practice and tuning, on Friday the 13th of November Johnny Köhler Cup and during the weekend 14th to 15th of November All Saints Finnish DN ranking competition.

TRAINING CAMP INFORMATION
A Training Camp will be held prior to the regattas Moday 9.11 – Thursday 12.11.

ACCOMMODATION
Primary Training Camp and Regatta site is Säräisniemi, Vaala, Lake Oulunjärvi.
Training Camp programe will start at this site no matter what the whether and ice conditions promise.
Regatta site may change at a later stage and will be communicated no later than noon 12.11.2015.
Final Accommodation details for the regatta will be published after the decision of the Regatta location has been made.
SOCIAL PROGRAM
We’ll host a sailors dinner with authentic northern Finnish menu. This week is also a good possibility to experience northern Finland culture or activities provided by our local partners.
During Training Camp we plan on showing videos and photos of the days sailing, host After Sail discussions on various topics (sailing technique, trimming, DN technology), arrange various work shops (runner sharpening, DN tuning, etc).

During the race days we have photographer Erik Lähteenmäki on site, examples of his work can be found at his web pages http://sailpix.fi/. Typically we’ve found excellent ice during week 46 in Finland, so we should have spectacular pictures and videos available.
